[link]And here's my response to Rich (Glenn Beck) Johnson:
"Here are a couple of things. One. I didn't swipe shit. The cover in question was done months ago. Actually it was done for the DC ICON cover event. But the book was gonna ship late, so they asked me to add a background color as to not compete with that event. So I did. Second. I'm not privy to seeing ads placed in the books I do covers for. Hell, 95% of the time the script, and especially the art hasn't even been written or drawn yet. Three. It really is kind of a classic pose. And it made sense for this cover. Four. Rich Johnson, if he really wanted to, could have easily tracked me down and just asked me. Hell, if I had swiped it, I probably would have fessed up to it. But that would take effort and then he'd have nothing to write about. He's kinda like the Glenn Beck of comics Journalism. But I guess it works for him."
P.S. great seeing you on skype video by the way--for all of twelve minutes (it's not what you think, guys).
Putting the verbal smack-down on fools.

and who would try to swipe from some shitty cg rendering anyway, the DCU online picture is way more stiff and inarticulate
it's just coincidence that it happened to print back to back with the cover
And the replies from Johnson on twitter are quite lame to the extent he's copying and pasting the same thing on damn near anyone that's had something to say to you, Dave. I mean... the one I received was Jin response JUST TO YOU was Rich saying "No, it's Swipe File. Swipe File does not accuse or judge. Homages, swipes, coincidences or vageue similarities."
Hate to tell him but he is accusing and judging. And what's funny is that last line is in damn near all posts to everyone. All I said was "accusations was the new black... no wait." I find it useless to be a dick to anyone about a fuggin' pose on two pieces that look the same. Big deal. I think we all have stuff more important to think and worry about than that.
Need to find something else to write about instead of the ability to draw a pose that looks like another pose from another comic image, that is the same pose from a movie, tv show, ad, or anything else. You're right it's a rather classic pose. No offense to anyone that likes Johnson, but this is a good example of a Douchewaffle. And I think we all have better things to do with our time than waste air or time, regarding him. Even though I spent about 4 minutes typing this lol.
