I gotta say that lately the Daily DA has been pretty goddamned weak. It's rare that I find something that inspires me at all. At least in the illustration side of things. Some of it looks like it belongs on the side of a 70's van or in a high school art class. Not sure who's picking this crap, but I'm guessing they like their sauce on the weak side.
And yes, I know I'll get the comments like "Well do something about it" or something like it. To be honest, I don't have the time. I'm a working man. I'm not even asking you the reader of this journal to do something about it. I just felt like bitching about it. It's my party and I'll bitch if I want to.

Long time no post here. Sorry about that.
Well, I did this cartoon awhile ago with Jon Adams and Titmouse Studios for MTV LiquidTv. It's episode one of three. Two will be out next week.
And if it gets enough hits, MTV might order more. So if you like it, tell your friends. If you don't, tell your enemies to watch it.

I get being a new artist is hard. We've all been there. And its real tempting to take from a more established artists than yourself in order to elevate your own art. Really, I get it. But when you get caught, confess. It'll go easier on you. Acting righteous and claiming that you were really ripping off "other" work that is not your own, and even claiming that you've never seen the original art is not the best way to handle the situation. 2 new art blogs of note.
Hey people! Just letting all of you know about 2 new art blogs that I'll be associated with from now on. The first is What Not Blog spot. http://whatnotisms.blogspot.com/ It's a weekly art blog featuring some of the top talent currently in the comic book industry.
The second is Johnson Cover Hi-Lo. http://johnsoncoverhi-lo.blogspot.com/ It'll be a weekly critical examination of the current weeks comic book covers. I'm going to get down and dirty as to what I think is wrong and right about cover design.

I've had about all the DD anime twat I can take. I don't even look at DD anymore.
I just started doing any kind of art again after a 10 year hiatus. All I have here so far are some Muro doodles. When I first joined up, I did look at the DD to get some inspiration for my acrylic paintings, but was mostly disappointed by the dearth of amateur anime sluttage.
I have found some really great artists here too though. You just have to dig to find them.
I peeled back a few layers and found you, of which I am glad, for you have thee awesomesauce.
