Artist's Comments
This cover was inspired by some shitty movie poster about killer crocs. I can't remember what the name of it was ( and I'm sure it'll be about 2 seconds before you guys are on it and start busting my balls about it, so thanks for nothing in advance, haha.) But I digress, anyway I thought the croc mouth as a graphic would go nicely with my design sense. The movie poster in question just had a 3D illustration of the croc in the same position.
This was done by masking off the lettering (which bleed a lot and fixed in Photoshop) and liquid masking fluid on the croc which worked well. Then hitting it with a huge brush and liquid acrylic. Finished up with gouache. Basically, this took about a day from concept to final. |

So much artsy fartsy mixed with ass kicking that it is amazing.
