From Drink and Draw Social Club the other night. Autumn had brought a whole bunch of these pre-painted boards to share. The fun thing about that is trying to see what you can make out of the shapes the paint makes. After I was done with the one on the right, it occurred to me that it kinda looks like my pal Eric Canete. I didn't mean to make him look like a dwarf, because I really had no intentions of drawing him in the first place. Of course, adding his signature after probably didn't help. So I hope he doesn't hate me for it.
These came out great man! Way cool. Oh, i forgot to mention that the watercolor is still mailable, so, if you want to you can hit it with a bit of water, let it soak and push it around the board some more. I'll bring some more next week too, just went and got the blank boards yesterday.
Great idea using the pre painted panels. My watercolor prof would do that to us. Forces spontaneous response to something you had no control over initially!
CANNOT WAIT to get any future publications of DDSC books! Volume 1 was a fucking blast and I shared it with all of my closest friends, who ALSO love it. THANK YOU, Dave Johnson. Keep drinkin', and drawin', and I'll keep buyin'.
