Well I guess I can finally share this one because Dark Horse finally did. It's for a new Abe Sapien 2 shot drawn by James Harren [link] which I gotta say, looks freakin' sweet. And if you like this cover wait until you see issue two's cover. It's one of my favorites. And that's saying a lot because I hate my stuff.

i honestly think that this cover works better than the one for issue two. the psychedelic flavor on the second cover threw me off kilter, and the head and shoulders shot didn't feel as honest as this cover's silhouette version of abe. limited pallet appears to be a strong suit of yours, and the power behind this composition is astounding. the dramatic diagonals of the figures and ground, and your really textural work with the ink brush add complexity without distracting too much from the concept. truth be told, i think this is one of your better pieces. the only real complaint i can make to this (and it is a tiny one) is that the steeple on top of the rounded tower room, the upside down crucifix loses impact as it crosses three different values, thereby upsetting its form. otherwise, its a fantastice piece. 5 out of 5.
